Our Post‑16 provision prepares students for their next steps, whether that be higher education, apprenticeships or employment, within a structured and supportive environment.
Applying to Post-16 at JTFS
Applications are made directly to John Taylor Free School using our online application form.
We welcome applications from both current students and those applying from other schools, and aim to make the process straightforward and well supported.
Application Process
The application process takes place across the academic year and includes submitting your application, attending an interview and receiving an offer.
Separate timelines are in place for current JTFS students and those applying from other schools. Further details will be shared as part of the application process.

Support with Costs
Financial support may be available through the 16–19 Bursary Fund to help with the costs of Post‑16 study, including transport, equipment and other essential items.
