The Post 16 Team
The Post 16 team at John Taylor Free School supports students throughout their time in Sixth Form, helping them achieve strong academic outcomes and prepare confidently for their next steps.
Sixth Form students are part of a supportive and ambitious community, where independence is encouraged and individuals are helped to make the most of the opportunities available to them.
Alongside the curriculum, a wide range of enrichment and careers opportunities ensures students are well prepared for university, apprenticeships or employment.
Mr P Robinson
Assistant Headteacher – Post‑16 Provision
Mr Robinson leads the Post 16 provision at John Taylor Free School, ensuring students benefit from high‑quality teaching, strong pastoral support and a wide range of opportunities.
His work focuses on creating a positive and ambitious environment where all students are supported to succeed and thrive during their time in Post 16.
Mr M Lacey
Assistant Leader for Post‑16
Mr Lacey supports students throughout their Post 16 journey, helping them prepare confidently for their next steps beyond JTFS.
He works closely with students as they consider their future pathways, offering guidance and reassurance as they make important decisions about university, apprenticeships or employment.
Ms R Curry
Assistant Leader for Post‑16 & CEIAG Lead
Ms Curry leads on careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG), ensuring all students have access to high‑quality support as they plan for their future.
The Post 16 programme includes opportunities such as university visits, guest speakers, mock interviews and work experience, helping students build confidence and prepare for life beyond school.
Mrs A Zeenat
Post 16 Administrator
Mrs Zeenat provides administrative support for the team, helping to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of the Post 16.
She is a key point of contact for students, parents and staff, supporting communication and organisation.
Mrs M Gee
Work Experience and Careers Administrator
Mrs Gee coordinates work experience and supports the delivery of careers‑related activities across the Post 16 programme.
She plays an important role in helping students access meaningful opportunities beyond the classroom, ensuring that experiences are well organised and contribute to students’ preparation for their next steps.
Support and Community
Post 16 students are part of a wider school community, where support is available both academically and personally.
In addition to the Post 16 leadership team, students are supported by Progress Leaders and a dedicated Student Support team, ensuring guidance is available throughout their time in Post 16.
The house system plays an important role in building a sense of belonging, with Post 16 students acting as leaders and role models, contributing to the wider life of the school.
