Find out more about our Post-16 provision and how we prepare our students for higher education and careers.
The columns to the right show the options blocks which are available for students joining year 12 in autumn 2024.
These option blocks have been compiled from the selections which our applicants indicated, and will change year on year.
For students arriving at JTFS in autumn 2024, simply click the subject title in the table to access the summer work for that subject. Each subject has a range of activities for you to carry out that should be completed before you arrive with us in September. If you need any help, get in touch!
Some students also have opted to study for the Extended Project Qualification. This takes place outside the usual subject blocks. The work for this course is here:
This table applies for the academic year 2024/25 only.
At JTFS we listen to the requests of our applicants, then we design our option blocks to fit.
This means that at JTFS our Post-16 students are more likely to get the combination of choices they want.
Because of this, the option blocks will change yearly.
This table shows the option blocks for the year starting in September 2024.
For students who have already received an offer of a place, or for students who wish to apply,
You may choose one course option from each of three blocks. The remaining block will automatically be allocated as Private Study time.
This means our students are academically successful and continue into their next phase of education or employment. It also means we create an environment where students and staff can thrive as people, as members of their community and society as a whole. Within our Post-16 curriculum offer, we ensure there is a broad range of subjects on offer that allow students to be fully equipped to progress onto Higher Education, apprenticeships or employment beyond the age of 18.
