How can you support your child with learning styles and revision?
A key part of our extended learning offer enables students to utilise revision skills and approaches for independent study, particularly as students progress through Years 10 onwards. This presentation is built for parents and carers to access, with their child and enhance understanding of different approaches. Thes approaches will suit different styles and subjects, as recommended by the class teacher.
You can use this alongside the Wellbeing page, and the Exam Wellbeing Pack below, where you can access support with timetabling and strategies to remain focussed, positively.
If you have any questions about this, please reach out to the Personal Tutor via email, or to the subject class teacher directly.

We know that our students and families can find it difficult to handle the pressures of exam season.
There can be a wide range of negative emotions which can make it very difficult to focus on celebrating the progress that students have made and being able to show this in their exams.
Whilst we can’t do anything to make the exams easier, we can help our students to approach them in the most positive way. If a student is struggling to manage their feelings as they prepare for exams, we are always around to listen and offer guidance.
Students can always come for a chat with their Personal Tutor, Progress Leader, Student Support, and the Mental Health First Aiders in school.
We have also put together a pack of tools that might help students to resolve some of their worries and allow them to focus in a calm and productive way. It contains lots of practical tools you can use right now, plus links to organisations that you might find helpful.
