Art and Design Technology
Every product, artwork and design begins with an idea. Within the Art and Design Technology Faculty, students learn how creativity, imagination and technical skill combine to turn those ideas into reality.
Through practical projects and creative exploration, students develop confidence in designing, making, experimenting and refining their work. Along the way, they learn to see challenges as opportunities, embrace new ideas and take pride in the process of creating something uniquely their own.

Art and Design
From sketchbooks and painting to mixed media and three-dimensional work, Art and Design provides opportunities for students to experiment, express themselves and develop their own creative voice. By studying the work of artists, designers and craftspeople, students gain inspiration while building technical skills and confidence in their own artistic practice.
Design and Technology
From everyday household items to innovative new products, good design influences the way we live, work and interact with the world around us. Design Technology challenges students to think creatively, investigate problems and develop practical solutions through designing, making and evaluating.
Working with a range of materials, tools and techniques, students build technical knowledge alongside problem-solving and independent learning skills. The subject encourages resilience, innovation and attention to detail while helping students understand how ideas evolve from concept to finished product.
Food Preparation and Nutrition
Understanding food is about much more than cooking. Students explore nutrition, food science and healthy eating while developing practical skills that support independence and wellbeing. Practical activities help students gain confidence in preparing and presenting a variety of dishes safely and effectively.
Textiles
Creativity and practical skill come together in Textiles. Students investigate materials, techniques and design ideas while producing their own textile products. Through experimenting, refining and evaluating, they develop an understanding of how design can be used to create functional and decorative outcomes.
