Dear Colleague,

As CEO of the JTMAT and Head of School, we are delighted to be able to share our vision for John Taylor Free School. We are looking for colleagues to join us who believe in the power of education to improve lives and the world. Our school will be a vibrant learning community where everyone can succeed and thrive. John Taylor Free School will sit in the heart of the community at Tatenhill to provide an outstanding learning environment for all students. As an 8 form entry school, it will grow year on year until it reaches capacity of 1550, 11 -18-year-old students. In Key Stage 3, students will follow the highly successful and Ofsted praised STRIPE curriculum. This develops the core skills of team work, resilience, self-management and independence. You can read more about this here. As the school grows, we will continue to offer a broad and rich curriculum into Key Stages 4 and 5. Academic success will be combined with those wider areas of school life which will enable students to thrive personally and in society. As a Centre for Excellence for more able students, we will utilise the latest technology and research to ensure that all learners are stretched and the most able students are provided with opportunities to showcase their abilities and collaborate and compete with their counterparts across the country.

As a member of support staff you are committing to helping us make our vision a reality. You will be prepared to be flexible, adaptable, dependable and willing to go above and beyond in your role; supporting the view that we are all working together to enable our students be outstanding learners and responsible members of the community. Whether you are applying as a site manager, receptionist or administrator – you will enjoy the challenge of working with young people and role modelling positive adult behaviours. We are looking for people to join our team who support our values and ethos; people who will positively contribute to enhancing our culture of trust and respect.
